Atea Denmark’s acquisition of KMD’s hardware- and software business is now approved

Reference is made to Atea ASA’s stock exchange notice on March 15, 2022 regarding an agreement for Atea Denmark to acquire KMDs hardware and infrastructure software business. On November 30, the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority approved Atea Denmark’s acquisition of the business.

With the authority’s approval of the acquisition, the process of closing the agreement can now commence. “It is great news that the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority has approved our agreement to acquire KMD’s hardware- and software business. We have been anticipating the approval for some time, and we are more than ready to take the final steps towards closing,” says Atea CEO Steinar Sønsteby.

The acquisition is expected to close in December 2022.
