Interview with Carl-Johan Hultenheim

Now, that long-term commitment takes a new shape through ONE for Good - it marks a milestone in Atea’s history.

What is ONE for Good?

ONE for Good is Ateas first joint CSR program. With ONE for Good, Atea connects its core business with real social impact by taking the most sustainable business to a new level and set a new standard for circular IT.

How can customers join?

– It’s actually very simple and smart. When you return your used devices through Goitloop, you help to generate value to a fund - the One for Good fund. And we at Atea are committed to donate 10% of the remaining value from the take-back process. Together this enables us to support youth projects in the local communities where we live and work.

What kind of youth projects will be supported? Kalle mentions social initiatives such as support for youth groups needing a safe meeting place, homework help, AI learning, sports and cultural projects as possible examples.

– The most important thing is that we support the initiatives where it matters the most, says Kalle.

He continues to describe ONE for Good as a “win-win-win” model: “I add an extra ‘win’ because there are three parties who benefit – our planet, our customers, and future generations.

When does the program start?

– The 6th of September was the magic date when the ONE for Good movement went live. We launched it at our kickoff and it has received overwhelming feedback. The fund started running that day and every device our customers are returning adds value. Soon we will be able to start giving back to society, says Kalle.

– This is more than a program – it is our culture, and it defines who we are in Atea. We do this with a big heart. I can hardly think of anything more important than investing in our young people who will build the society of the future.

Over the next three years, Atea expects to support hundreds of youth projects together with its customers and partners. And to manifest ONE for Good, Atea will conduct its largest roadshow ever, visiting all 89 Atea offices in the Nordics and Baltics during 2026-2027.
